Samsung plasma TV tuner dropped a channel.

This tv a CRT tube tv?Or a LCD tv or a Plasma tv?The tube tv,the video board that connect to the CRT tube head have problems.The Plasma or a LCD tvs.The main board,call the Tuner board is the cause,this board,that where the incomming broascating signal cable plug into it.CRT tube tv,old technology,must take to tv shop for estimate and repair.Plasma or LCD tvs can tries websites like Shopjimmy.com or Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner board for the replacement.

The remote doesn't effect the channels, I would say you have poor signal or interference from another device nearby.

Sounds like it's on the wrong input, maybe it's analog tuner. Have you tried changing it's input?

my less than 2 yrs. old hardly used Samsung plasma is turning off automatically for no reason within 10m minutes of watching. What could be the problem??????????

unfortunately my solution was to pitch the tv, and had to buy a new one, it was going to cost $1200 and up to fix it. The tech said 5 yrs. for a plasma is about it.

The problem you have with the tape is probably one of the nylon or plastic gears have worn or cracked and the mechanism has gone out of timing. the no channels is probably the tuner assy. These Ive seen go out a hundred times. Unfortunatly this is an 8 year old unit and the cost to repair will most likely exceed, or close to the cost of another unit, as I know that tuner assy part #TELH-005A cost around $63.00, and the cost to repair the deck assy depends on what the problem is and then add labor ,your looking at around 150 to 200 bucks.
