Ezy set

The upper water seal for the bearing is not holding...will need to replace the water seal & possibly the bearing due to water infiltrating the bearing.

Normally, you would push in on the knob to set to a cycle then pull out on knob to start machine. Am i correct? So when you push in to set the cycle it just spins?

Check the interlock tab (upright models) or the hinge or latch switch (front-load.) Sometimes these switches break or simply come loose.

I don't know your make model and serial #. But it normally should stop at or near where it says stop.

The machine has a cut off inside that should cut supply when enough has entered so cut off or sensor fault try run it empty see if its actally overfilling as the pump should remove excess i may be blocked

I assume you mean over flow? 2 main reasons. First check that inlet valve is shutting off. Start machine & let water flow in for a few seconds then stop the machine (lift lid or press timer in) Water flow should stop quickly. If it is slow to stop or does not stop at all then change the inlet valve for a new one. Try it several times. If all good and stops quickly then take the back panel off the machine & look inside on the right. Locate the rubber air tube from the bowl up to the panel. Inspect the tube for any worn part, any splits or holes. If found then replace the tube. It has to be air tight.

if it is a top loader then try repositioning the lid micro switch as it is also the balance micro switch and in moving the machine the bowel probably fell sideways and the lever got on the wrong side of the micro switch

On your right knob , you will see two "OFF" markings, if you turn that knob to any where else, the washing machine will switch on
