Plasma went black. Power not interrupted.

Vladislav fixed his TV already by replacing some defective capacitors in the power supply.
The locations of the defective capacitors are C523 and C524. The value is 0.22uF/400VDC or can use 0.22uF/600VDC Polyester coated.
Good Luck.

Samsung 50 inch hpn5039 no picture but good sound

It sounds like the backlight is burned out. Its a long skinny tube that runs along the bottom of the screen that provides the light for the picture. Its actually not too hard to replace if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. Its just a plug or two and a bunch of screws. good luck

Our Samsung HPN5039x Plasma TV

Hello, It sounds like you have a defective power supply. Typically, +5 volt stby is present if the TV switches on with front indicator light. On the power supply, connector 802 pin 4 is the on command from the pcb main to switch the p.supply on. If this signal is present but still no VS,VA,VE panel voltages are missing, the p. supply is bad. Good luck!

If I have to replace the Zboard LI4101199A what

if you are replacing the X-Sustain / Z-Sustain Board yourself,
the part is 179.95 + 10-15 s/h

http://www.discount-merchant.com/SAMSUNG-LJ41-01199A-X-Sustain-Z-Sustain-Board-p/1022934.htm

if you are taking it to a shop for repair, it is easily going to be double that.

I have a 50

I assume that these lines are there, in the same position, whatever the source of the signal.
Those lines appeared because the corresponding columns of pixels aren't correctly commanded. This can happen from 3 causes:
1 - the connector from the video board to the plasma panel is loose or broken - attach it thoroughly or replace it, a cheap part.
2 - the video processor is malfunctioning - unfixable by itself, the entire board must be replaced, it will be expensive
3 - the paths corresponding to those columns from inside the plasma panels are interrupted - nothing can be done to fix that.
To determine which is the cause the tv must be thoroughly tested by a professional.

Tv is showing with water mark

sounds like what you got here is what they call "burn in" this happens when a tv is paused on one action for long periods of time.

This site is good for this type of stuff:
http://www.plasmasaver.com/burnin.html

most watermarks do go away within time and some do not. So I would instruct you to read the link I gave you.

Have a samsung hpn5039

Hi:-)

There's no lamp inside a plasma TV to check, the plasma pixels generate their own lite on the display panel.

First try plugging the TV in another wall outlet, be sure your using an AC surge suppressor to plug your TV into. If your not sure what an AC surge suppressor is then click here. Surge suppressors protect the TV from harmful AC spikes that can damage the TV's power supply circuit over time. These AC spikes come from the wall outlet!

If all the above is done and tried with no results, then read below:

This symptom indicates a failure on the power board inside the TV. Or, it could also be logic circuits holding down operating voltage due to a fault outside from the power board. There's no quick fix on this problem here, the TV needs servicing. If its under warranty take it back or have your local repair shop fix it for you.

I hope this sheds some light on a solution for this unfortunate TV problem.

Samsung hpn5039 worked for 6 years, now VERY dim.

The back plane lamps, and or the power lamp power supplies are failing. When considering 6 years of use, most likely both the lamps and the lamp supplies much be changed.
In many of these sets the back plane lamps are not replaceable. You will have to call the service rep in your area to find out if your set is serviceable.
From experience with these sets, after about 2 to 3 years proprietary parts become very difficult to have.
