Do you mean the password for the wireless network or the password for the router. If you don't know the wireless network key or the password then you will need to access the router set up and you will find the wireless password there. I know this is old post, but I'm researching my Belkin. Solution for lost passwords could simply be RESET the unit and sign in as if it were new. Official Belkin F5d7231-4 user manual at http://www.belkin.com/support/download/downloaddetails.asp?download=1389&lang=1.
Reset button at back of unit next to power adapter plug in. Use pen, pencil or something like that. Press in RESET button for about 10 seconds.
After reset, access 192.168.2.1.
At Login Screen: leave password blank.
One in, change your password info.

You can reset the Belkin back to the default settings by -
Press and hold the pinhole RESET button with a paper clip then power uo the Belkin. Release the RESET button after approx. 15 secs then the router will boot up.
Open up a browser and enter the Belkin configuration URL

The default PW = blank (just press enter)
