Can you supply pinout for Dell AA23300 Power Supply ?

Can you supply pinout for Dell AA23300 Power Supply?
I am considering using this as a stand alone power supply, but get no voltage out. I suspect that I need to jumper one or more of the sense pins to get it to produce output power. Any ideas?

On the main plug there is a single green wire. Jumper the green wire to any black groung wire in the plug and the fan will start and you will have output.

Question about Dell D220P 01 Optiplex AC/DC Adapter 220-Watt Power Supply HOW DO I USE THIS UNIT TO PROVIDE 12V STANDALONE POWER?

most power supplies have a switch for 120 and or 220 options just move the switch to what setting you want. most power supplies can be used as a stand a lone power supply, if not than you need to request for a 220 watt power supply the can be used as a stand alone for pc or computer use. most computer retail should have them in stock. look on line or at

Pin out for a dell PS-5201-8D2 power supply

Use caution, some older Dell machines used a non standard, proprietary pin-out on the 20 pin connector ALso the 6 pin is suspect. If you connect a regular ATX PSU, you will fry the MoBo. Look here

Will a NVIDIA GeForce gt 610 graphics processor work on a Dell Dimension 2400 PC Desktop

YES, Zian it will work....BUT,....................

1) It is a PCI graphics card, and uses a PCI expansion slot.

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2898922&CatId=319

The Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop PC's motherboard, has three long white PCI slots,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conventional_PCI

If one of those long white PCI slots is open, you can use a PCI graphics card.

Concerned that the graphics card uses DDR3 graphics memory, and your computer only uses DDR Sdram ram memory?

Don't be.

The graphics card has it's own processor (Graphics Processing Unit), and graphics memory.
It runs independent of the system resources; the Processor and Ram Memory.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPU

The concern is the Power Supply.
Original power supply's maximum rated Wattage is either 200 Watts, or 250 Watts.

The above graphics card requires a minimum system requirement/power supply requirement; of 300 Watts.

I would recommend replacing the Power Supply.
(Especially with it's age, if it is still the same one)

ONE thing though..............
Watch the 20-pin ATX main power cable connector, and the wires in it. Be sure they are in the standard place setup.

Check the pinout, and color code of the wires,

1) Dell Dimension 2400 desktop computer, 20-pin ATX main power cable connector pinout,

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/sm_en/techov.htm#1105612

2) STANDARD 20-pin ATX main cable connector pinout, and color code of wires; as set by JEDEC,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain20

[Be aware that the ATX main power cable, and connector, you get with a new power supply; such as the above, will have a 20 =4-pin ATX main power cable connector,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#atxmain20plus4

Use the 20-pin connector, tie the 4-pin power cable up out of the way]

For a time period Dell was making the motherboard's main power cable connector - Proprietary.
Meaning they has that motherboard connector wire pinout changed.
Colors of wires were in a different place, than the standard setup by JEDEC.

Orange wires are 3.3 Volts (DC)
Red wires are 5 Volts (DC)
Yellow wires are 12 Volts (DC)
Black wires are Ground wires.

Guess what happens if a 12 Volt Yellow wire, is plugged into where a Black Ground wire is supposed to be?

ZZZZZZzzzzt! Motherboard fries, processor fries, ram memory fries, and graphics card. (If used)

Check the color code of the wires, in the 20-pin ATX main power cable's CONNECTOR, for the Dimension 2400's power supply.

I'm trying to convert a dell AA23300 power supply into a 12v dc power source. I need to know how to get the supply to power on. Which pins would control the switch.

Do a goggle search for "power supply pin jumper" and you be see many photos on how to do it. It is usually the green and black pins near the locking clip. Use a paper clip bent to a U shape, connect it with the power cord unplugged then jump the pins then plug it in. If the fan goes on you did it correctly

I Like to use the Dell PowerEdge 2600 Mfr P/N 7000679-0000 (supplier ATSN) power supply stand alone. Could you please provide me the pin-assignments on the connector?, for 12V Your help is highly...

The fact that it is a dell IS relevant because dell is always doing custom plugs and connectors and form factors. It has no ATX plug. This a server power supply and has no green wire. I would like to use this as a stand alone psu too because it delivers 60 amps of 12v.7_22_2012_8_22_34_pm.jpg

have fun.

Model D3057F3H Want to use it to power a car radio. What is the on / off connection and what is the 12V out let than can handle 5amp

Check the label on the power supply for the current rating on 12 volts.
The +12 volt is the yellow colored wire and the black is the ground.
To turn on the switch mode power supply connect pin 14 (for a 20pin connector) or pin 18 (for a 24pin connector) to ground.
You can use a switch so you can turn the power supply ON and OFF.
