The Wep Key is located in the wireless router settings and will not be found on the network adapter. The network adapter needs the wep or wpa key to connect to the wireless router. You will need to use a computer hooked up directly to the router and enter the router settings menu to find or change the wep or wpa key. Most routers use 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to enter the router menu. When you input the IP address above a screen should come up asking for a username and password. Enter those and that will allow you to get into the router menu. If you do not know the username and password you can reset the router with the reset button and that will restore the default password which is usually no username and password is admin.
The username and password suggestion from Muebe may not be correct if the router is not a Linksys brand (check with the manufacturer of whatever router you actually have).
