How often should the camera be charged

Error 32 is a shutter related problem Try this :- Switch off the Camera, wait 10 secs, Open the battery door and remove the battery, wait 30 secs insert the battery and close the door. Wait 10 secs switch on.

It is also 7+ years old. in technology years that is like 140 years old. retire it and get a Nuvi.

Remember that time you went to start your car and it worked yesterday but today it would not start... bad stuff happens.

If you are holding out hope, try leaving it plugged into the car or outlet
try holding the power button for a long time (30 sec)
try plugging it into a computer and see if anything happens.

Error code 99 indicates detection of a system malfunction. Try switching on the camera and while it is still switched on remove the battery. Leave it for about 30 secs then re-insert the battery once powered up switch the camera off wait 30 secs then switch it on again. This action sometimes will remedy this problem but failing that it may need a visit to the repair shop.

Hi there please follow the steps and let me know the result.
1. Ensure batteries are fully charged & clean the battery connector point in side the battery compartment.
2. Look carefully between the lens and the camera body for any sand, dirt or any damaged etc.
3. Try turning the camera with the lens facing down and shake to dislodge anything stuck
4. Try removing batteries and memory card, wait 5 minutes and refit the battery only.
5. Now turn on camera( with out card ) and see ,if working then fix the memory card & again turn on the camera. If working then fine . Otherwise format the memory card and fix back in camera again & try. Make sure before format the memory card take a back up all photos in your computer then format. If no luck then reset or restore the camera setting by pressing Menu key for 2 sec .. in not done the press both Menu & self time key for 2 - 4 sec.

Try lithium batteries in it to see if that works better.
They have 1.5 Volts in them.

How much voltage do you charged batteries have?

Go too preferences and click then click the arrow until you come to battery saving, click that as it may turn of your screen after a few seconds during your route

The camera was working fine 5 days ago. Yesterday when I tried to switch it on, I assumed that the battery was flat so I charged it but when fully charged the camera still won't switch on. i Please help!

you have to hold the the menu and middle ong for 10-20-30 secs
hold the menu +center button and it will turn off and reset

check whether the switches are jamed or not? did u try with the charger alone? there is no way u can get tape with out powering it up.
