Dell computer screen blacked out

Help!I've had my dell for 3yrs.&the screen blacked out last night.I checked everything,looks o.k.I can unplug it&plug it back up&the dell screen will blink on&then goes back off.The on/off button it lighted.

My Dell LCD screen blacked out.When I turn the the screen off and back on, the desktop screen shows up for a moment and then goes black again...I checked my power settings in the screen saver section and connections.. And the desktop color is a little more reddish than the light brown color of the leaves in the scene when it flashes for about 1 second.....Please [email protected]

Hello Sir,
Can you see any dull image on the screen, if yes, then The problem is with the inverter board in the LCD Screen,

What would cause my screen to go black and then can't reboot 8.1 on dell pc??

If this is a Laptop, remove battery, Plug in charger to PC and then try to reboot. A bad battery will suck all the power from charger and won't allow the computer to have enough power to boot.

Dell Precision M6300 turns on and then nothing happens.

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.

I left my laptop on last night for music purposes and it died due to not being plugged into the charger. I come home from work later to charge it and attempt to listen to music and there is no sound...

It could be fixed by an easy reboot. Restart the computer and see it that fixes the problem.

Last night I spilled green tea on the keyboard of my Dell Inspiron 6400. It wasn't much, it just splashed in. It shut off immediately on its own and i took out the battery and something else removeable...

If it does, then replace the keyboard, if not then you are looking at some more troubleshooting with safemode, eventviewer, etc

Colored vertical lines on monitor

Have you unplugged the power cord to the LCD? Let it sit for a minute, then try it. ALWAYS buy a UPS and plug any computer devices into it. Doesn't have to be big, a $50 unit will protect it from dangerous voltage surges.

Dell D600 Battery Causes Screen to go Black

Laptop batteries normally just last for a few years, depending on usage. If your battery is almost done, it may report a 'full' status, but just have the capacity to feed your laptop for a few minutes.

You may check this by disconnecting current while your laptop is started up. If low battery capacity is the cause, the same will happen within a few minutes.

Laptops normally go in standby on low battery, to avoid data loss.

the problem can be traced from the power bd. you will need a digital volt meter. There are settings located on a sticker located on the upper right corner Va,Vset,Ve, Vset etc..... each one has a DC voltage. compare the voltages to trace the source. My suggestion from experience is the Y Main upper or lower buffer which ever has a brn mark located on the metal of the panel. Google a local dell dealorship or a repair company in ur local area, and get serviced.
