SOURCE: One year old coffee maker won't brew

This is my second dcc-2000 with the same problem. I tossed the first one and in less than a year the second one exhibits the same issue. I called the Customer Service (1-800-726-0190). The rep told me to unplug the unit for at least 2 hours adding that this would let the system "reset itself". He then instructed me to run vinegar and water through it to clean the pumping system. I am doubtful about this solution but the rep assured me it would be replaced if I still have problems. It's worth calling CS to get it replaced, however, it seems that this model is flawed by design.

SOURCE: Cuisinart Grind & Brew not using all the water in the reservoir

I was having problems like this and then I read on a different string on this website that people have had success by flushing the system numerous times (sometimes up to six times) with vinegar. I took out the charcoal filter and flushed once with vinegar but only saw a small amount of improvement. I was out of vinegar so I used Lemishine mixed with water and it went from making one cup to making a full pot with one flush.

SOURCE: A couple of days ago, coffee maker turned it self

spoke w/ Cuisinart. Unplug unit for 1 hr, then plug back in, reset clock & Auto Off setting. This resets the unit back to the factory settings.

SOURCE: keurig coffee maker makes loud noise single cup

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

If you look where the reservior fits into the base, specifically where the water goes in, there is a rubber seal. It's held in by a circulary plastic piece and 3 screws. I took it apart there to see if something was amiss and decided after looking at it some that they had put the seal in upside down. So I put it back together with the lip of the seal facing up instead of down and I have not had a single drop of water leak from the reservior again. Now if I can get the thermos pot that came with it to stop leaking every time I pour a cup I will be a happy camper.

It turns on makes noise but it doesn't brew

  • Clean the puncture needle with a paper clip. It has 2 holes.
  • Turn unit off for a few minutes, remove and replace the water tank. Turn back on.
  • If all fails unplug, remove water tank, turn over and slap it on it's bottom. I know, sounds silly but it works!

Tassimo Coffee Maker: Tell me how to operate it. I can fill the water, put the pod in and all the lights keep flashing. Pressing the start/stop button does nothing.

• All lights will blink the first time you turn on your
machine. This is your cue to prepare your machine for use by
following the quick instructions in Step 1 on separate insert.
• If the water level runs low while you are preparing a
beverage, all lights will flash. Simply remove and refill the
water container, and brewing will continue automatically
where it left off. It should not be necessary to discard the T-DISC
and start over.
• The AUTO light will blink throughout the brewing process.
Some drinks require a pause in brewing as part of the recipe
for brewing your perfect cup - this is to allow the optimal flavors
to unfold and is a normal part of the brewing process. The AUTO
light will continue to blink throughout this process.

HOW TO MAKE A DRINK
• Place the mug of your choice on the cup stand.
• When the STANDBY light illuminates, insert the T-DISC® of your choice
and close the clamp.
• The HEATING light will blink as the brewer heats the water to the
optimal temperature for your drink.
• Once the proper temperature is reached, the AUTO light will
illuminate. When it lights up, press the start/stop button to begin
the brew cycle.
• The AUTO light will continue to flash throughout the brewing cycle.
PLEASE NOTE: Some beverages have a pause in brewing
after the initial influx of water into the T-DISC®.
• The MANUAL light will illuminate when your drink is ready.

Turn on switch but no noise as before when machine starts up

Hi
Check to make sure that everything is in place. The main culprit is usually the drip tray, or the brew unit.

I have a automatic grind and brew. It will only brew a full pot of coffee if I turn it on four cups. That wasn't to bad but now Ihave to unplug it to get it to come on.

Unplug for 20 minutes to fully reset, then:
Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first.
