Everio gz-hd7 full hd manual white balance problem
I bought a Everio gz-hd7 full hd camcorder but the manual white balance simply refuses to work. Is there any way I can fix this within the camera without having to take it to get serviced?

This is usually caused by a failed component in the power circuit within the camera and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.
You don't need the disc. Buy Corel's latest videostudio x2 for editing. To extract the video files from camera just plug into computer with USB cable and search the camera for files.
From my experience with Hard Drive based Camcorders.. you're best bet is to treat them like a computer.. use an application like Data Rescue II to recover the files from the camcorder.. once the files are recovered, reformat the HD on teh camcorder and you should be abel to start recording new footage again.
