NOTES
• When the USB cable is connected, turning on or off the camera causes malfunctions of the PC.

• Connect the camera directly to the PC, not through the hub.

• Do not use an extension USB cable.

• Saving the wrong kinds of files in a recording medium or deleting files or folders from a recording medium can cause problems with the operation of the camera. When it is necessary to delete a file from a recording medium, delete it through the camera. Also, do not move or rename folders and files in the medium on PC.

• Never disconnect the USB cable while the access/charge lamp on the camera lights or blinks.

1 Create a folder to back up files into.

2) Double-click the [Safely Remove Hardware] or [Unplug or Eject Hardware] icon in the status bar.

3) Select [USB Mass Storage Device] or
[USB Disk], and then click [Stop].

4) Click [OK].

5) Disconnect the USB cable.

Try not recording as much on the disc - it may need a certain amount of free space to record finalising information.

As long as you have a USB port and there is 4 AA or AAA batteries then you should be able to. USB is 5 volts DC and 4 batteries are 1.2 volts each and 4 equal 4.8 volts DC.

Take out the memory card of your JVC Everio HDD Camcorder.Put it into a card reader and connect it with your computer. Then download a third party data recovery software to recover data from memory card.I have succeed to recover videos from SD card with Tenorshare data recovery. It can recover data after deeply scanning your hard drive to look for lost data.
Anyway, download a trial version and scan your memory card for free to preview whether your lost ata can be recovered. http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/index.htm
