Lens cycles in & out upon start up and view finder blurry.

My wife downloaded pics from the camera to the computer. She clicked on the safely remove hardware icon but the camera wasn't there. She disconnected the camera, but now it's not functional. When you press the power button the lens cycles in & out a few times, image in the view finder is dot discernable. If youpush the zoom lever to retract the lens the camera shuts off. Is there an internal battery in the camera that can be removed to reset the camera or some other form of a hard reset that might correct this problem. I wrote to Olympus but they just want me to return the camera for repair. My camera is 14 months old.

Here's the procedure for a manual reset...remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...insert the card and then the battery...turn on the camera.

Out of focus pictures when shot with view finder

I had a problem similar to this. Try taking off your glasses or removing your contacts and try again. Best of luck.

My wife has a polaroid iF045 digital camera she got for christmas and it takes very blurry pics any ideas?

I don't want this to sound silly however, have you checked to see if the lens is clear? One fingerprint can really foul the picture.

Images thru view finder are blurry

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

All of a sudden everything is out of focus and very blurry, pictures and even through the view finder. we took a few pics tht turned out normal, set the camera down picked it up about 5-10 minutes later...

If the viewfinder is also blurry, it might be as simple as a smudge on the lens. Is the blur uniform and consistent on the pictures and in the viewfinder? Was there a curious dog nearby when you set the camera down?:)

All of a sudden became blurry when viewing through lcd screen and the pictures are blurry when downloaded on the computer

hi..
You can try a different memory card, but I don't think the problem is memory card, if pictures look scrambled, and colors and brightness are not uniform, that is either a problem with CCD sensor (optic sensor that takes the picture), or logic board.
In either case, this is not an easy repair.

Reset the camera to default settings from camera menu, and try a different memory card, but the camera will probably need to be sent in for repairs...

View finder

Ok. On your viewfinder, there might be a round dial. Turn it to adjust focus. Otherwise, sometimes viewfinders are like that... blurry, especially electronic.

Nikon D80-picture blurry in auto mode

jbenjack,
The D80 has a lot more settings to deal with and depending on the lens the depth of field may explain the blurry background (that is desired effect on a portrait) The view finder on the D80 is for composing the shot and has read outs for the settings. The LCD on the back is for playback and the menus, it doesn't work like a live view of what's being taken (on some newer and more expensive DSLRs it does preview on the big LCD) on smaller point & Shoot cameras that don't have a viewfinder they use the LCD as the viewfinder, does that make sense? If she has the manual you may want to faniliarize yourself with some of the features, start out on one at a time for the different modes so they make more sense, you can really appriciate the camera after that and respect what pro photographers do. The D80 is not a cheap camera and I personally know a couple of professionals that use it among their cameras. (lots of different lenses that cost many time more than the camera body) Have fun with it, and if you get into it you will find you can take some fantastic photos with it. Can you tell that I like that camera?

Blurry Pictures

You probably got some condensation on the lens from going in and outside. You should be able to go to a Wolf Camera or similar store and have it cleaned.
