HP Printer Usb port in my Acer Laptop , shortcircuits my house

HI.
When I connect my HP Printer thru Usb to any Usb port in my Acer Aspire 6930G Laptop , it shortcircuits my house electric instalation.
Any other usb device connected does nothing and works fine. The same printer connected to my other older (5years) Acer laptop works fine!??!!!
Any ideas about this problem!?

    I tried a different usb cable , but it happened again.

    I´ll have to try to get a powered Hub to see.

    But in your opinion the problem is with the Printer , right!? Not the laptop !?. I ask just to know if it´s worth taking it to where i bought it...

Hello

Try using external USB HUB (POWERED) Adapter. It might fix this issue.
Use an other USB cable and see.
If the problem still exist do not plug in the printer again, you may damage your USB port or even burn your laptop motherboard.

    I don't think is the printer, you said it works with an other computer (PC).
    Sometimes laptop usb port may not have enough power to communicate with some devices hence the external power usb hub will help.

    If all fail try contacting the printer supplier, they might know about this issue and if so they should provide a solution or get your money back.

    it's hard to say.. it could be just some bad windows system files in your laptop

How do I hook up my Acer Aspire laptop to my Epson printer?
You can hook up Acer Aspire to your Epson Printer Using the USB Port if the printer supports the USB port A type. I am not sure what model of Epson printer you are using. You may have to configure the printer either by going into add remove hardware and scanning for hardware changes and installing the Printer, or may have to put the Driver CD provided to you by the driver manufacturing company and install the driver which will also allow you to print a test page at the end of installation to give you a clear picture that the installation was successfull. Please ensure that the printer is connected to the laptop and is powered on while giving for a test print. Good Luck.

The laptop will be compatible with almost every printer so long as you have the installation disk. If its an old printer and does not have a way to plug in a usb port there is a special adapter that goes from the printer port to usb port that way it is compatible.

And the laptop connector has 3 rows of pins while the printer connector has 2 rows, right?

You're trying to connect your printer to a monitor port.

As far as I can see your laptop doesn't have a LPT port. You will have to connect your printer to the USB port. If your printer doesn't have USB connection, you cannot connect it to your laptop.

Bluetooth location on acer laptop
Bluetooth other than the device itself is software, the "bluetooth dongle" gets plugged into a port via the usb, So I am thinking you need to plug it in to the computer. If it is a new machine if may be internal, that would be under programs, start programs, if no bluetooth it must be installed the software and hardware, good luck
