I am trying to burn a cd on my Acer Aspire

In Windows Media Player, click Library and then, in the List pane, click <List Name> List, and then click Burn List, as shown in the following screen shot.
  1. If you need to clear the list before beginning, click Burn List, and then click Clear List.
  2. Drag a folder from the Contents pane or songs from the Details pane to the List pane to create a list of songs to burn.
  3. In the burn list, drag songs up or down to arrange them in the order you want them to appear on the CD.
  4. Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc in the CD drive.
  5. In the List pane, verify that the songs you have selected to burn will all fit on the disc. If necessary, remove songs from the list by right-clicking a song and then clicking Remove from List, as shown in the following screen shot.

It is possible that a song will not fit even if the total time exactly matches the CD length, because the Player inserts two seconds between songs when burning. Click the Start Burn arrow and verify that Audio CD is selected, as shown in the following screen shot.
lick Start Burn.As the CD is burned, you can check its progress in the burn list. Burning a CD will take some time.Notes It is recommended that you do not try to perform any other actions while burning a CD. For example, playback may be affected if you try to play a music CD while burning a CD.

You cannot burn additional files to a CD after burning is completed. If you are using a CD-RW, you can erase the entire CD before using the Player to burn files to the CD again.

ON MY ACER 5536 IT HAS A BLURAY STICKER AND SEEMS

If your laptop is still in factory specs (no extra added) then no, it can't because it doesn't have a blu-ray optical unit. That sticker is there to tell you that it's supported, as in you can replace your dvd-rw unit with a blu-ray one. In that case you will need a media player that can play blu-ray movies - the best one is VLC.

How to play Blu-ray movie on 5536G?

Arcade Deluxe is nothing more than a **** media center with a useless media player in it - get rid of it. If you want to play BR disks there are 2 options: either install a good codec pack like http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=5748&s=775 an use WMP or install and use VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

Where can i find Windows 2000. It drives me to

If the card is compatible with Windows 2000, it probably is compatible with Windows XP.

If not, access the manufacturer's web-site, and download the device-driver for Windows XP for the device.

MAKE CHANGE TO ACER ASPIRE 5516 BIOS

You cannot chan ge SN of your laptop. SN of the laptop and SN of the motherboard are not supposed to be the same as for every component in your laptop has it's own SN being produced by different manufacturers even for one single laptop, and the laptop, as a machine built from those parts has it's own. SN is not changable in any way.

Restore my acer aspire 5742 back to factory settings w/out disk

Step 1 Open the Windows Start menu by clicking on the icon in the lower left corner of your desktop. Step 2 Click "All Programs," then the "Acer" folder. Step 3 Select "Acer eRecovery Management" to open the utility. If a Windows prompt asks for permission to run the program, click "Yes." Step 4 Click the "Restore" button in the pane on the left side of the program window. Step 5 Click "Completely Restore System to Factory Defaults." Step 6 Select the "Yes" option in the dialog box that asks you to confirm the action, and click "Start." Step 7 Click "OK" in the second confirmation dialog box to restart the computer. Step 8 Click "Next" in the warning window that appears after the computer reboots. This confirms that you realize restoring the computer deletes any data stored on your hard drive. Step 9 Click "Next" again in the Restore Destination window, and click "OK" in the popup that gives you one last warning about deleting your data. The restoration process will begin. Step 10 Click "OK" when the utility lets you know that the restoration is complete. The computer will restart, and Windows will finish the recovery process.

I have an Acer Aspire6930 and a Belkin router. My

u mean to say, u r using wireless for internet access right.
Well if u r using XP, and if u r having some trouble in accessing internet, then there might some problem with the components of wireless card. so if u want to fix them, u can fix them with a simple trick.
Go to My Computer's Properties
Go to device manager,
open the tab named NETWORK ADAPTER.
u'll see ur wireless adapter listed. select it & select Uninstall.
Dont worry, just continue reading.
when u click on uninstall, u'll be asked whether u r sure to remove the device from ur computer, meanwhile u'll be given a marking space named UNINSTALL THE DRIVER FOR THIS HARDWARE.
Dont remove the driver, simply uninstall the wireless adapter.
Now its removed.
Now restart ur system, after it starts ur computer shows a ballon named, NEW HARDWARE FOUND and it will automatically install ur wireless adapter,
So ur wireless adapter is fixed by now.

and if u r using Vista, its quite easy there.
go to NETWORK & SHARING CENTRE
go to NETWORK CONNECTIONS u'll find 2 connections.
one will be named as Wireless something.
ENABLE it & click DIAGONISIS
after its completed, select RESET ADAPTER
Its done.

Hope it worked u out.
Thanks..
