How to Set Up an RCA Home

Hello.
You can not connect any speaker to TV directly.
You TV have non-amplified output on the back "Audio out" that you connect using red and white RCA style cable into home theater system or some other audio amplifier. Amplifier itself should have outputs for speakers. Amplifier and speakers have to match. If you have just bare speaker/speakers I would recommend to get rid of it and purchase cheap home theater system that would definately solve your problem. They come with instructions and diagrams of how to connect it to TV.

The DAVS300 does'nt have an optic/coax digital input so you can't have dolby digital from an external source- only from its own DVD player

make shure that you have selected hdmi on the sound system press the function button

menu>option>output select> SET to VARIABLE.

Your lucky you got that out of it, this is a common problem with this unit, the solder that is used on the sound card doesn't like heat and melts. You can take the sound card out and clean with alcohol for a temp fix, but this is only a temp fix. Sound card cost approx. 340 bucks my fix was a sound surround system. sucks hey!

No digital sound comes from Digital Coax or Optical and in order to utilize a digital signal u need HDMI or Component although component wont be truly digital. Try running everything to the TV then the sound out of the TV into the sound system. If its a high def source like high def cable box then use the optical conection on the back of the aquos and plug than into your surround system. if ur system doesnt support Optical or digital coax then you need an updated surround system. If i misunderstood your question im sorry.
