With your remote controller, go to menu and from that you need to select install or setup.
This will scan for all available channels and store them for use.

OPC is optical picture control. The television is adjusting itself to the lighting in the room. Even if someone walks in front of the television's sensor it will start to adjust and you will see opc on the screen and green leaves.
You can leave the feature on without the opc and green leaves appearing on the screen. Press the menu button. Scroll down to OPC. Press enter. Scroll to on. Press enter. Press menu to exit.

You have also ruled the set out if only "a few channels" as set is not smart enough to know what channel you are on--you can check all the audio settings but if a box is used for signal the problem may be there.

i had the same problem in a sharp tv 32". on the remote control there was a view mode button, i changed the mode and the pc input label in the left upper corner gone

try to check the cables connecting to your tv specially the video cable it may be loosed.

What I did was unplug it for a few months when that started happening to me. When I plugged it back in it worked great. There are also a few things on the internet on how to fix that.
