Electrolux Oxygen 3 model 7020A contols not working

I have an Electrolux Oxygen 3 model 7020A wich runs fine for 2 or 3 minutes then while still running the lights all turn on but I can't shut down the unit with the control buttons on the handle. It will only shut down by disconnecting the power cord. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You need to replace the hose itself. The buttons in the handle a very cheap and go bad all the time.

After I run my vacuum for a couple of minutes it shuts off. If I unplug the vacuum and plug it into a different outlet most of the time it will start working again.

I would say check inside the plug and make sure the connections are tight. If the vacume runs fine on the other socket outlet then it will bw a faulty socket which cuts your hoover out. Can buy a new socket frount from diy stores for about 2-3 pounds. If the hoover also cuts out on the other sochet it will be a temperature cut out device on your hoover. If this is the case empty the bag and give it a good clean and get rid of any accumalation of dust/dirt

9 month old electrolux oxygen vacuum just quit

Electrolux Oxygen 3 vacuum cleaner

It's on the right hand side and is soldered directly to the board, it looks like a little glass vial about 2/3 of an inch long and about 1/4 inch in diameter. If there's not a tiny metal filament running the length of the fuse, it's gone bad.

I hope that helps, I'm describing it from memory since I don't have one in front of me.

Best of luck,
