SOURCE: Lowrance 3500 Digital Depth Guage flashed 0.5 continuously

If you have a glue in style transducer, be sure that the fluid has not leaked out of the cup. Otherwise, there really is no effective way to troubleshoot those without having known good parts to swap and try. If the cup is empty, it will need to be resealed with silicone (100% silicone) and then refilled with mineral oil.

here is the link to your the lowrance web site. the trouble shooting guide says that if you tried to it on another boat than you might need to take it in for service. but there is a section that explains how to do a soft reset on the unit. you might try that.

We have a X23 Lowrance. It was working OK then it just went to flashing 0.5m with bits of blue colour over the screen. We have switched it off and then on again, but still flashing 0.5m. Can you help?

First check and clean the transducer. Make sure it's level and clean of any dirt oil or fuel. You can do a hard or soft reset also but you'll lose all stored data and it will reset all of your settings. You can find out how to do a hard or soft reset on Lowrance hompage. www.lowrance.com I would get you the exact address but their web site is a little messed up this morning.

Lowrance 3500 color map GPS

Not sure about these but try holding the on / off button in for about 30 seconds. The TOMTOM resets when you do this, maybe the 3500 does the same?
