Hi, I've got an issue with an oldie-but-goodie Optoma HD65 NOT the UHD-65. About 45 minutes after powering it down, I powered it back up after installing a powered & powered up Monoprice HDMI splitter and new HDMI cable between my AVR Denon AVR-2310CI, powered down and the powered-down Optoma. Nothing happened. ALL THREE LEDs Power, Lamp, Temp are flashing red, and more quickly than the Service and Owners' manuals.indicate for a lamp issue 1-sec. interval. The lamp was replaced early last fall, about ~800 hrs. ago...that was an easy diagnosis, as I heard the prior lamp explode; this one didn't, and SEEMS to look O.K., out of its housing and cartridge. Dunno. The current lamp was claimed to be OEM by an Ebay seller he sold both OEM and compatable lamps. That's all I know...Any ideas, please?

you need to reset the lamp timer, usually done by holding some buttons while turning on

The problem sounds like the lamp ballast is bad--it's a circuit that initially starts the lamp and then keeps it burning--the lamps are like a welder's arc inside of a glass globe. When you push the power button, the ballast uses a spark of electricity (sort of like a spark plug) to get the initial arc going and then switches to low voltage, but HIGH amps to keep it going.---Rick

I have the same problem, however, my lamp wasn't replaced. Projector working great, just started today. Filter cleaned, reset lamp time, neither helped. Any luck yet?
SOURCE: I've just replaced the lamp
I'd recommend checking the fans of the projector, and make sure that they're spinning. Since you've mentioned that the lamp blew inside the unit, bits and pieces of the lamp might have lodged itself within the fans. It might also have to do w/ the after-market replacement bulb, which I normally wouldn't recommend.
