SOURCE: WITH AUTOMATIC CUFF BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR GETTING ERROR

E might represents insufficient inflation for your mom. For automatic inflation monitors usually there is a mechanism to keep inflating the cuff to higher pressures for people with higher BP. Check how is done. In some auto monitors, while cuff is inflated you keep pressing on START button until pressure reaches to some 15 to 20 mmHg higher than the pressure that auto usually stops and displays E.

Dear Edward: Likely, either cuff not tight enough or not in correct location on your arm or not holding device at correct height. Make sure you use Lithium Ion batteries. Try it on someone else. Dr Ron Grassi,Jupiter,Florida.USA. www.DrGrassi.com 30ad4e8.jpg

Keep in mind, that improper placement of the wrist cuff can cause higher or lower readings, than what they truly are. Also, not keeping your arm at heart level can cause an inaccurate reading.

In all most all cases, the manufacturer has to do the recalibration. This is because it has to be certified as correct. Contact the manufacturer for instructions on how to return it. Most charge little or nothing for this service.

My blood Pressure reading on right arm is normal but reading on left arm is very low what is the cause of this and what treatment would you suggest

i don't know. if you feel your readings are true, visit your doctor or hospital promptly. don't delay.
i suspect you may not be having a proper compression fitting on the arm with the lower reading.
some **** stores here have a ' no charge ' machine at a bench, that lets you test your blood pressure. you might like to try that on both arms and record the numbers. many electronics retailers sell a wrist band [ about $20 ] that reads pressure and pulse.

I'm 66 yrs of age my blood pressure is 155 over 98, is that too high?

far too high
anything over 140 should be discussed with a doctor
If you are self monitoring at home ensure that the monitor is correctly calibrated before each use
Take it along to the doctors and have your pressure read on his machine then read it off yours
To give you an example my blood pressure regularly reads 115 over 55 and my concern that it is too low but the doctor says better low than high and I and 71

My blood pressure is 110/95 and my heart rate is 124/bpm. I am pregnant what does that mean?

110/95 Blood Pressure
Is 110/95 Good Blood Pressure or High Blood Pressure?

There are two parts or two separate numbers referred to as blood pressure: Systolic/Diastolic. If the blood pressure is 110/95 (110 over 95), it means that the systolic pressure is 110 and the diastolic pressure is 95.

110/95 blood pressure can also be read as 110/95 mm Hg, or 110/95 millimeters of mercury. The 110 mm Hg Systolic refers to the pressure in the arteries when the heart beats, and the 95 mm Hg Diastolic is the pressure in the arteries between heartbeats.

When determining if 110/95 is a good blood pressure, we looked at the American Heart Association's blood pressure chart.

Blood Pressure Systolic Diastolic Normal Less than 120 Less than 80 Prehypertension 120 - 139 80 - 89 High Blood Pressure
(Hypertension) Stage 1 140 - 159 90 - 99 High Blood Pressure
(Hypertension) Stage 2 160 or higher 100 or higher Hypertensive Crisis
(Emergency care needed) Higher than 180 Higher than 110
For 110/95 to be good, both numbers must fit into the "normal" category above. Otherwise, it will fall into other categories of High Blood Pressure.

Systolic reading of 110 is in the Normal range.
Diastolic reading of 95 is in High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) Stage 1 range.
Therefore, 110/95 is High Blood Pressure (Hypertension Stage 1).
