On my Homedics BPA-110 the "E3" means there was an "error obtaining measurement data: measure again". When you measure, make sure the cuff hose is centered on your arm. I have noticed the placement of the hose cuff is quite critical. If the hose on the cuff is not centered, you will probably get some type of "Exx" error code.
