Hi. I have a Panasonic Toughbook CF-51 that fell off couch. I need an inverter board for it. Can't find anything on ebay or other part sites. Anyone have any suggestions? thanks, Sue

You can always buy parts straight from Heartlandsi.com. They are the repair place in the USA. The parts themselves are usually not that bad... But they DO get you on shipping charges.

Yes that sounds about right now.. but did you replace the Inverter board as well... I mean did you replace everything including all electronics attached too? Or just the LCD, see it may be the driver?
i repair laptop every day and i have never seen and inverter board shut down the computer.in less it was total shorted. it sounds more like the fall my have damaged the hard drive. if a the drive wont spin it will cause the laptop to power down cause the little motor will over heat in a matter of seconds.if the laptop was on when it fell then its more than lickly the drive.
Sue, it's not the inverter board. People who don't really know much
about laptops will often diagnose them incorrectly, especially computer
repair shops. The problem you're experiencing is most likely related
to your motherboard. Unfortunately the most expensive part to replace on most laptops.
Your best bet is to probably just have any important files from the laptop extracted by a repair shop and then selling the computer "As-IS" on ebay. Or you could try another local repair shop to take a look at it. I wouldn't pay any money for a diagnostics since it would take most techs about 5-10 minutes to confirm what I just typed.
