What setting should I have fridge on I doesn't feel cold enough I have it on 8c

Is unit where there is no heat? Your fridge thermostat measures temperature in the refrigerator section. So if it’s 32 degrees where Fridge is located, then it doesn’t have to run to maintain 35-37 degrees inside fridge section. Thus feeezer doesn’t get cold enough to freeze.

check the fan to see if it is running.

Try the thermostat on it's lowest setting first. If it doesn't switch off soon enough and gets too cold, you can get different thermostats from your supplier. A bottle fridge thermostat would suit.

setting the freezer at 7 opens the baffle from the freezer to the fridge to make the fridge colder. It works completely opposite than a person would think. Feel in the back of the fridge with it on this setting. The freezer is dumping all its cold air into the fridge thus equalizing the two parts. if you move the selector to 1, you should feel the air from the freezer cut off in the fresh food compartment. try a setting in the middle and let sit for 24 hours. Checked Freezer Fan is working. Also checked defrost Fuse in freezer.
To checked freezer fan is working or not open freezer door press Door Switch and checked Cold air is coming from duct or not.

Once ice forms on the freezer coils there is no air flow. I had the same thing. I suspect your defrost cycle is compromised. Could be the bimetal switch, defrost timer or defrost heater element.

find out if the evaporater fan is blowing? open freezer and see if you can feel air blowing out of cold air vent in freezer

check for compresor operation. a relay on compresor could be out
