Hi,

Water from the bottom of the refrigerator is usually due to a faulty door or gasket, a leaking drain pan, or a clogged defrost drain pan.
I will advice you check these areas to fix the problem.

The most possible 2 reasons for this is the water control valve part number 4389177 or the thermostat inside the ice maker is not working. If ice maker is empty pour tap water until full and lower arm to see if the ice freezes and drops. If this works I would replace the water control valve. Below is a link enter your model number or the part number in the model search feature. There you will see your refrigerator. Thanks Sea Breeze

Kitchenaid has a dimensions guide for the KSC25FKSS refrigerators on their support site: https://www.kitchenaid.com/service-and-support/manuals.html . The depth depends on the handle style; these models are 35 1/2" W X 27" or 27 1/2" D X 71 7/8" H. The link to the document is https://www.kitchenaid.com/content/dam/global/documents/200312/dimension-guide-2221514-D-KA.pdf .

I hope this helps.

With an ice build up this much, the auto defrost wont have any chance of working so you will have to do a manual defrost.

Just turn off the power and wait a few hours for the thing to fully defrost. You can help things along by using a hair dryer, but avoid sharp objects and scrapers as you may damage something.

You will have to store the things from the refrigerator in someone else's fridge or in foam boxes while you do this to avoid damage to the food.

When you open the fridge door in the future to get things in or out, try to not leave it open for more than a few seconds at a time as this will help avoid it doing this again. Each time you open the door, you let moist warm air go inside and this contributes to the ice build up.

Why not contact KitchenAid again and explain that you have performed the service checks their technician(s) should have performed and the bi-metal (switch) is at fault. Perhaps another visit from a competent technician or that technician's manager will result in success.
