Oh my god! Right there on the front panel! I never saw that before! Boy, do I feel dumb. I was so proud of myself saving $500 last week by putting a new distributor on my Honda myself rather than having the too-expensive garage do it---and this week I fail to see a simple lock button right under my nose, there on the panel!!! I guess I never suspected such a feature existed and never scrutinized that panel. Don't have kids...Thanks so much!

Check for a child lockout button it will look like a tiny padlock ,press and hold for 3 sec.(could be the freezer door light switch)

Kenmore Elite Refrigerator/Freezer Model 795.7209

These symptoms occur when the fresh water line that supplies your ice maker and water dispenser is frozen.
You will have to trace the water line from the ice maker to the back of the fridge and defrost that line. After defrosting all will work as normal but the first few batches of ice should be discarded. It is also advised to replace the water filter due to impurities from the melted water.

No water coming from water dispenser.

It is possible the water control valve for that dispenser has failed and will not open. This happens a lot for those and the ice maker valves. All you need is the model number for your refrigerator and that will look like this for Kenmore. 213.564897 for example. and I will help you find the correct part number. Sea Breeze

Water dispenser inside fridge and ice maker in freezer part in bottom both quit working.

There can be many reasons for no water supply. Line feeding the refrigerator is clogged or blocked. The water control valve that turns water to ice maker and dispenser is defective or the water filter located inside your refrigerator is in need of change. I will be here to help you go through the steps. Let me know when you are ready, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Kenmore Elite refrigerator 795.775.62600

make sure the ice maker is turned on, push and hold the little round button on the front for 15 seconda and see if it starts up an cycles. Also check to make sure the fill tube isn't clogged to the ice maker and another thing to check is the water valve.

Ice and water dispenser lock light stays on and comes back on quickly after pushing and holding. No water or ice dispensed while light on. Kenmore Elite 23.1 ft side by side refrigerator

I resolved the problem on my Kenmore Elite model 106.55616400 by removing the drip tray, taking out two screws that hold the panel, and disconnecting and reconnecting the wires from the panel to the board. Unplugging the refrigerator did not work.

Kenmore elite (106.53606202) ice maker will not dispense ice

When you push the ice dispensing lever, you should be able to hear the micro-switch clicking. If no click, the switch is faulty. The auger motor which is activated by the lever could also be faulty. This is the motor that causes the auger in the ice bucket to rotate one way for crushed ice and the other way for cubes. The auger could also be jammed. Try switching between crushed and cubes to unjam the auger. Empty the ice bucket and start again.

No ice through dispenser

When you operate the ice dispenser lever, you should be able to hear a little click from a micro-switch that then switches the auger motor and the light on and also opens the flap. If you cannot hear this small click, then the micro-switch is faulty. The ice dispenser only works when the freezer door is closed, so you could also inspect the door light/fan switch for proper operation.
