Intel DESKTOP BOARD D945GPB-Win XP Home Edition OS. All web searches keep crossref. all other boards D945G* or D945G**. No mention of D945GPB anywhere on net or Intel Site.

Device Manager says I need drivers for "Other Devices"-"Ethernet Controller". My MB is obviously a discontinued board, CLEARLY Marked as D945GPB. after hours of internet searches, and hours of digging thru every driver available at the Intel web site, I can't find one that works, or ID my Ethernet Controler built into MB & cannot read the inked #s on it.Have tried Gigabite, Intel & Realtek drivers all from Intel site. Can anyone help ?

Boot up computer from being off and press pause key right top hand side of keyboard when the bios number comes up on the screen. Pause boot up and read the bios number that is displayed during the P.O.S.T sequence of your Bios start up.
Then try googling the Bios number to get the exact motherboard involved.

Good luck !

Lost Ethernet on Win XP MCE upgrade

Hi glycogenic open up the case and look for a motherboard model number on the motherboard (it could be anywhere) but sometimes in large print, then do a search with it on the net

ie Ethernet drivers for (insert mobo number) running XP MCE 2005. or something similar.
