My laptop shows black screen when i press the power button and i donot know if the computer work because the screen is blank although the keyboard lights.

1st Idea - Let's take a look under the cover. I'm not sure how tech savvy you are, but I'm sure you're pretty good if you have a soldering iron. Once inside locate the power supply section. See if you see any blown capacitors on it or any other boards. One obvious way is to see if they are bad is if they have bulging up tops. There could be some weak or bad ones that aren't popped up, but let's start from there. If there are any bad caps, they are dirt cheap price wise at an electronics shop. try this take a flashlight on look at the screen it will be hard to see but if you see your screen their is a connecter between the screen and the top of the laptop that is hard to see but you can take a pen must be steel and put it between the screen and laptop and your screen should come on if not them you will need a new screen but i know it works i did to laptop
