Generally the magnetron (the part that heats the food) is the cause if everything else still works. Unfortunately replacing the magnetron is barely cheaper than buying a new microwave though you can check out repairclinic.com to decide whether you want to attempt replacing the part.

In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man. Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.

time for a new one. the microwave unit is dead, no the oven. the microwave unit is the heart of the oven. so, if that goes, everything else goes.

SOUNDS LIKE THE TRANSFORMER OR THE MAGNETRON SAID BYE-BYE.WITHOUT A MODEL # ITS HARD TO SAY IF YOU CAN EVEN GET PARTS FOR IT.EITHER WAY IT WOULD PROBABLY BE CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW ONE.IF YOU CHOOSE THE LATER,BE SURE TO DISPOSE OF IT PROPERLY.
