I hope you haven't cracked the tubing to the burner. If the stove is a sealed burner model it could be that when you tried to open the top you could have cracked the tubing to the burner. I had this happen to a client just a few weeks ago. The damage was so bad they had to buy a new stove. You may be able to replace just the offending burner tube.
twist the burner to releace them . remove all 4 and the screws around the sides the lift top .. cook tops have to be completly disambled . for service .. mm
1) turn off power at the breaker.
2) remove hold down screws
3) pop up cooktop out of counter top
4) remove knobs and downdraft grille
5) remove ceramic top (screws around outside and also in side grille opening)
6) unplug burners replace with new burner
To Clean:
IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and
the oven and cooktop are cool. Do not use oven cleaners, bleach
or rust removers.
1. Remove the burner cap from the burner base and clean
according to “General Cleaning” section.
2. Clean the gas tube opening with a damp cloth.
3. Clean clogged burner ports with a straight pin as shown. Do
not enlarge or distort the port. Do not use a wooden
toothpick. If the burner needs to be adjusted, contact a
trained repair specialist.
4. Replace the burner cap, making sure the alignment pins are
properly aligned with the burner cap.
5. Turn on the burner. If the burner does not light, check cap aligment.
Hi, the burners turn counter clockwise. they hold the burner to the top panel. Those need to be removed. Most of the time the tubing is disturb like this, they need replaced as well. Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

These burners are not that difficult to get to, but you will have to get access to that burner or element to do testing. Screws hold the top down located just under the top front edge. Open oven door to see screws. Remove screws to lift up top. It will pivot on the back edge. You will see the elements. If you do not feel safe doing this get professional help.
most likely you burner block is bad just use a putty knife to pry under the top it should lift up like a car hood check the burner blocks for burn thru or melted wires. UNPLUG UNIT FIRST
The switch is just behind the nob WB24K10003 SWITCH-BURNER VALVE you will have to open the top and remove the manifold panel to get to them. let me know if this helps
