Delonghi Magnifica 3300. When machine turns on and/or when trying to make coffee it pumps few secs of water and stops with water led blinking red. Thanks for any ideas to diagnose the issue.

Also noticing the preinfusion cycle is not performed. The machine starts brewing without making the perfusion cycle and then stops short with water led blinking

This is difficult to describe but my delonghi magnifica has developed a small problem, after turning the machine on via the front panel On button, the pump activates (slightly) even though no other buttons...

It might be a normal cleaning cycle or flushing itself out. You don't mention whether it's not working anymore, so is it just that the sounds and lights seem concerning, or has it actually stopped working?

Delonghi Magnifica 3300 doesn't make coffee, only wet grounds and water in the grounds container, everything else seems normal

Hi JB, not sure if you've junked your 3300 machine by now or had the problem fixed already. Nevertheless, allow me to share with owners of DeLonghi Magnifica Espresso machines who encounter similar problem to yours. Incidentally, mine is a Delonghi Magnifica 3200 which is very much the same as the 3300. Firstly, try to ascertain if the pump is working normally. When the machine is ready to brew coffee, turn ON the steam/hot water knob and see if it pumps normally and for more than 30secs at least. My machine could pump for short durations between 5secs to 20secs max before the water light came on. I checked the flow meter connection but is all seemed well. I noticed signs of water leak (dried up chalky water stains) where the steam wand exits the control panel. Upon opening up the control panel, I noticed a larger patch of dried up water stains on the wand valve assembly. Bought a set of steam wand assembly replacement and to replace the leaking one. It's been some six month now and I'm enjoying my daily cuppa again. Btw, my Delonghi Magnifica 3200 has been serving me well for 10 years! Apart from the steam wand replacement and a faulty micro-switch, I only had to carry out the usual descaling and replacing worn out O-rings.

There is a red light flashing thru all the icons underneath the controls

Run the hot water tap until the lights stop blinking. It is asking for the water circuit to be primed IIRC.

Boought brand new delonghi magnifica 3300 and did everything the directions say, it turns on, and the motor runs, but no water comes out when we try to run the water for the first time out into the cup...

Read instruction manual first before assuming there is problem. It happen we are not familiar to the operation of the machine the troubles becomes- "operators errors rather than machine errors".
If you already read operating manual and still not yet understand. Call their service hotline, ask something about your problem.
It easy as that! I hope my advice help you.
