I have Delonghi ESAM 3300 and grinder runs for

We had excactly the same problem a couple of times recently with a lot of troubleshooting, like adjsusting grinder, reseting the to factory settings, and many more and we end up that it was a problem with pcb control board which lost the preset timing of grinding thus the coffee grinding where about 3-4 sec and the correct one shold be about 8-9 sec. We have here one side which have the control board for your reference.

Attemps to gind but no beans seem to get through

Machine thinks there are no beans because it is not grinding. Most likely the grinder is blocked. The common causes are a small foreign object, a stale hard bean and moisture (either from water spillage or moist beans). The first thing you should do is vacuum ALL the beans out, set it to the coarsest grind setting and run the grinder a few times ( with no beans). Then put a small amount of fresh beans (make sure they are dry and not from fridge or freezer) in and try again. Give it a few goes. If it still wont grind have a good look down there, if it looks wet let it dry out for a while and try again. If none of thes easy tips help you will have to remove the top grinder burr and clean both burrs. Good luck.

Grounds container indicator light stays on

I have the same problem as this after cleaning. The machine won't power on. It does a power on self test and then the grounds tray full or missing light comes on and nothing else can be done. A friend of mine with a similar machine says hers fixed itself after a while so assume some sensor got jammed/obscured with my over zealous cleaning. However I'm not hopeful. Might try taking it apart.

How do I prevent my Magnifica from dripping some of my espresso down the front and back of the closed door and into the drip pan?

Good morning Tony since your machine seems to be a relation of mine, I will do what can to assist you. I will put a photo of mine in for comparison 25384622-pd1nal51mezmuuwk5cecr2bn-2-6.jpg I am sorry about how dark my black coffee machine is, you can see that they are related. What I can suggest here and now is that you remove the infuser once again and put it back carefully in its place, I would give that a try, and have done enjoy your coffee kolbrun

I have a delonghi magnifica. The ! light stays on solid, and the cup lights stay on green solid. The infuser does move up and down when I unplug and re-plug, but eventually it sits in the up position,

If cleaning the infuser doesn't work, sometimes the error will go away over time or after you try to unplug from the wall. Finally, a system reset may help: you accomplish a hard reset by having the machine plugged in, pressing and holding down both the decalcify and ground coffee buttons, unplug the machine for 15 seconds (still holding down the buttons), then replugging the machine into the socket before releasing the buttons.

I'm getting the

Not good; from page 21 of the owner's manual: If the message is still displayed after cleaning, contact the service center.
The good news is that when I had to send in my ESAM3500 for warranty repair, I called DeLonghi (1-866-528-8323) and got through to their repair center without difficulty. They sent a new shipping box and wrapping material, and a prepaid shipping label to a repair center about 100 miles away. I got my repair ESAM back in just a week. I hope that your experience goes as well. If it's out of warranty, though, it could be expensive.

I removed the infused and cleaned then returned it but the red light is still on in the red triangle and green cup lights still flashing

Hello Karen, I am not a service professional; however, I have owned 2 Delonghi espresso machines for 15 years now and done several service repairs on my machines and they are still running great! Was the machine running ok before removing the infuser?? Please be sure to read section 10.2 of your service manual. If not available, you can visit here to view manual https://www.seattlecoffeegear.com/assets/user-manuals/delonghi/delonghi-esam-3300-user-manual.pdf Additionally, make sure you have inserted the infuser back onto the machine correctly. Review towards the end of section 10.2 where you must make sure the infuser is compressed back closed and upon inserting it onto the machine the red buttons must click that the infuser is installed correctly? Please see troubleshoot picture attached. Also be sure to clean your machine inside underneath the infuser as many coffee grounds are collected there after a period of time. I don't know how old you machine is, but replacing the o-rings on the infuser and greasing the moving parts (o-rings) is recommended. Be sure to use lubricant recommended for food contact. I hope this helps you get your machine back on track? If not, please upload a video to better help you. My Delonghi Magnifica has a problem after turning on it doesn't get hot and after a while of the cup lights flashing the red warning light comes on and the machine won't do anything!!

most coffee makers have a temperature sensitive diode in the circuit, and that will "blow". if you are comfortable working on your own unit you could troubleshoot it, otherwise, bring to a repair shop.

My delight magnifica is now

I had this same problem and discussed it with DeLonghi customer service. My machine was grinding 20 seconds for a double shot and ground coffee was coming out of the top and spilling over inside what a mess! DeLonghi thought it was potentially a problem with the control board - grinding time too long - which is an expensive repair. I also called the local factory-authorized service and described the same problem. They asked what kind of beans I was using and I answered Starbucks espresso. They said that Starbucks is too oily, clogs the machine, and that I should try beans that are lighter. I also checked with an engineer who used to work at Starbucks and he made the same guess. I tried an Italian roast espresso from a local market and it worked! I've had no problems since. The new beans cleaned out the oils and I'm getting great shots. This is a good machine, but is best making single shots.

Delonghi Magnifica Makes creaking noise when preparing brew unit

These machines do need to be lubricated every so often. First, buy some food safe lubricant, e.g. here. Then, turn the machine off, open the front door, and remove the infuser. There is a holder connected to the machine by two hex screws. You may remove this (or even just leave it on). Now attach a long tube to the lubricant (should come with the can) and spray lubricant on both sides of the vertical screw that moves the infuser up and down. Give it a few good sprays on both sides of the screw, up and down, and that should solve your problem.

Delonghi EAM 3400 keeps saying "Empty Grounds Container"

I think the microswitch that sensors the front door is not activated. Try to find it and "give it a massage" The machine resets the counter for the grounds container every time the door switch is activated.

Delonghi perfecta esam5600 doesn't make cappuccino, latte, flat white or hot milk anymore. Still makes coffee though.

Thanks globalautomo!! It sure looked clean but upon further inspection the tiny hole was not. Boiled it just like you said and immediately it works like it should. My wife is grateful!

Delonghi Magnifica Rapid Capucinno Power

It's quite likely your unit had a blown thermal fuse caused by a bad thermostat. Test them by disconnecting one end and a meter should show continuity if the part is good. The pro's test them in circuit while the unit is plugged in, power showing across the part means it is bad. REPLACE BOTH PARTS TOGETHER.

Can't remove infuser to clean it

Turning off the power with the button is not enough. Instead, to remove the infuser: unplug the machine, wait a few seconds, plug it in again and turn the machine on. Even though you are technically turning it on, the machine will sense it was not turned off in an ok way, so it will "properly" shut off (and unlock the infuser).
