Hi...

So in these case you already know that the driver is not installed you need to install the drive, if the driver is lost you go to the website of your sound card then download the driver.

First uninstall audio drivers which u installed.
Then download the drivers
Try this link from original site

There download only audio drivers and install it..

I downloaded the drivers from the internet but when i installed it a tried to scan i shows me file failure i have a bearpaw 1200 cu scanner Ty

You did not installed the proper sound driver.first you installed the proper sound driver.If it is not working after the driver installation then your sound port has been faulty. you can repaired or replaced it from srevice center.

I have totally no sound i have many sound codecs installed

Install the driver for your soundcard if it is a built-in one or add-on card. K-lite codec pack is a good application for many audio format. And under sound/speaker setting you should set the speaker on, not mute. And your speaker is totally working.
