The file is corrupted in Excel 2007. What should i do?

I`m using office 2007 with win 7. Recently I decided reinstall Win. So, I`ve copied all necessary documents on a stick. Unfortunately, now I can`t open a couple of excel files. When I tried opening it, I get an error saying that the file is corrupted and it does not proceed any further. I tried to recover it with a free software, but it didn`t help. Is there any way I can get the excel file back? Or at the least retrieve the data it contained?

Have you tried opening it up in another versions of Excel? Try 2003, 2010 or whatever. It can be effective.

Have you tried Open Office, Libre Office, Star Office and another? It can be useful too.

It`s possible the corruption is too bad. Have you used google to find any software? You can find both free or not, first are not so effective in my opinion. Try professional program, for example Recovery Toolbox for Excel.

You can use the trial version and decide how useful is it in this case.

Why won't my drivers download on windows 10

Download the Win 10 drivers from the printer web site.
If there are no Win 10 drivers, it is obsolete.
Try using Win 7 drivers and if that doesn't work, reinstall the OS you used before Win 10 corrupted everything.

I have several excel files stored on my system. I used these files from the same computer daily. Yesterday, when i tried to open several files in Excel 2007 then i found following error on my co,puter...

  • Navigate to the folder containing the XLSX file you want to repair.
  • Right-click the file and select "Copy" and then right-click on a blank space within the folder and select "Paste." This action generates a backup copy of the corrupted file.
  • Open Microsoft Excel 2007 or later.
  • Click the "Office" button in the top left corner of the window and select "Open."
  • Navigate to the folder containing the copy of the XLSX file you generated previously and select it by single-clicking its icon.
  • Click the arrow located to the right of the "Open" button and select "Open and Repair."
  • Select "Repair." If you previously attempted this method and the process failed, try to extract only the values and formulas by selecting "Extract Data" instead. Regardless of the method you choose, your data will appear on the screen within a few seconds if the process completes successfully.

Certainly, any files that you write using Windows XP will be able to be read with Windows 7.

This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer in Microsoft Outlook 2007. Links are disabled.

This issue arises when the HTM file association is corrupted. You can fix this issue in 2 ways:
    1. You can change the default internet browser. for example: If the Internet explorer is the default browser on the computer, you can install Firefox and set it as the default browser.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/change-your-default-browser-HA001190694.aspx
    2. Second way is to fix the HTM/HTML Associations (Restore the default associations for htm/html files).
-Take the registry back up first.
-Then, depending upon the operating system, you can download the registry fix from the following websites.
    For Win xp: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm
    For Win Vista: http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/105/1/File-association-fixes-for-Windows-Vista.html
    For Win 7: http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/file-asso-fixes-for-windows-7/
Download the HTM file and double click on it to run the fix.
