The color adjustment won't work. I click on it and go down on other adjustments but none will open to adjust the colors.

I've changed batteries on the remote, tried everything to make the color change because it's too red. The remote had fallen to the floor and that's when the red showed up. I clicked on Menu, went to the 'color' area, clicked on it and it won't open. Went down to the listing below that, they too won't open. Any suggestions?

are you looking to correct the problem or make and adjustment
adjustments you can do from the remote once you in the menu

THis is very common on these sets. there is a special fuse thats cause this.. kinda hard to get rca part number 259213.. .4 amp. the reason this blows is there is bad solder connections on the flyback. so when you replace this fuse you have to resolder these connections. so if you know how to solder and can find this special fuse. it is a fast and easy repair

Did you replace the convergence board or the convergence power supply board? usually one color will be a problem with the convergence board and more than one color means the convergence power supply is the problem. Ebay isnt a good place for boards as you never know if the board is good. You can get the convergence or the convergence power supply boards at the following link along with free shipping and tech support.

SOURCE: convergence nightmare

I had the same problem, I resoldered the fyback (LL008) and changed the fuse (FL231) had my voltage back, but still no convergence. I read in the service manual that disconnecting BW001 BW002 on the Converagence Amplifier board may remove the load on the Convergence Power Supply. I unpluged the TV did remove it and turned the TV on, let it boot up and run for two minutes or more, then shut it down, waited a few minutes. Unpluged TV and I pluged back in BW001 and BW002 connector back in and turned the TV back on and it was back. Some adjustment and had had a great picture back. If this done do it your out of luck, the Convergence Power Supply and Convergence Amplifer Boards are no longer avialable. Make sure that all the flyback leads are resoldered real good.

SOURCE: phillips tv , double vision,

You have bad convergence IC's. Replace both the red and blue drive chips. They are easy to spot. They are mounted to large, finned heat sinks. The # on the chips starts with "STK-" and then there are numbers following. Both red and blue use the same part. There are 20 or so pins to unsolder\solder. These parts are available to the consumer from tritronicsinc.com. Good Luck!!

Pictures appear to be darker than original in print outs.

You can make several adjustments to improve your images such as lightening dark areas, changing the exposure, sharpening blurred edges, and changing the brightness and contrast.
  • Exposure adjusts the overall intensity of light in an image.
  • Adaptive Lighting improves only the dark areas in an image without affecting the bright areas.
  • Brightness adjusts the amount of light in colors ranging from light to dark.
  • Contrast adjusts the difference in brightness between light and dark areas of an image.
  • Sharpness helps define edges and the smoothness of texture in an image. Use this tool to make a blurred image appear more focused.
Adjusting the image Follow the steps below to make adjustments:
  1. Click the View tab and select the image you want to edit by either clicking the image, or by clicking the small box at the bottom left corner of the image. Figure 1: Select the image c00603524.gif
  2. Click the Edit tab and then click the Advanced tab.
  3. On the Advanced tools tab, click Adjust Image .
  4. Select an adjustment from the list on the left. Figure 2: Adjusting the brightness c00603525.gif
    • The Exposure adjustment is automatically applied when the Adjust Image tool opens. Eight variations of the image are displayed on the left. The current image is displayed in the center. Each image represents a different level of adjustment. When you move the pointer over any of the images on the left, a large version of the image is displayed. Use Preferences to turn this large image preview on or off and to set the timing for the display.
    • If you want to use a different adjustment tool, select Adaptive Lighting , Brightness , Contrast , or Sharpness from the list.
  5. Select one of the images on the left.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Click Accept to accept all changes and exit from the Color Toolkit.
    • Click Cancel to discard all changes and exit from the Color Toolkit.
  7. If you have finished modifying the image, do one of the following to save your changes:
    • Click Save to overwrite the original image.
    • Click Save As to save the modified image with a different name.

Color off balance

I am going to try and explain this as best I can and hope it helps you all. I just did this on my Canon Pixma mx700 and printed a perfect photo when I was done.

Open control panel, go to printers and open that. Right click the printer you would like to adjust and click Properties. On the General tab there is button that says Printing Preferences. Click it. When it opens look to the middle where it says Color/Intensity. You have two options Auto or Manual. Check manual and then hit the set button to the right. New window opens with color adjustments, saturation etc. Now my issue was saturation and contrast. So I adjusted those sliders so the top picture matched the bottom picture on the right hand side of the box you are making the adjustments on. Adjust yours according to your needs!

I really hope this helps you all. Mine looks 100% better. Let me know if it works or not. Good luck!

Solution: Manually adjust color from the driver (Windows)

Manual Color Adjustment Follow the steps below to make fine adjustments to the color hue for the printed output. These settings will only make minor color adjustments. If more drastic color adjustment is necessary, use an image editing application.
  1. On the Windows desktop, click 'Start', point to 'Settings', then click 'Printers' (Windows XP: On the Start menu, click 'Printers and Faxes', Windows Vista Click / Select Start from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', and then click on 'Printers'.).

Note: If you are in 'Classic' view, Click 'Printers' directly from the 'Control Panel'.

  2. Windows 2000/XP/Vista: Right-click the printer icon, then click 'Printing Preferences'. Windows 98/Me: Right-click the printer icon, then click 'Properties'.

  3. On the Main tab, select 'Manual' for 'Color Adjustment.'

  4. On the Manual Color Adjustment screen, adjust each color individually to achieve the desired effect.
