My 14 years old GE profile refrigerator keep cooling above 50 degrees and not going down to below 40 degrees. I did clean condenser coil and fans are running fine. I adjusted temperature control to maximum cold .Do you think it my be short of refrigerant?

check the fan that runs between the freezer and the fridge --check fan for ice blockage -debris-or damage / clean or clear blockage --if not running test wiring and connections as well as motor /repair or replace //also check fan damper is not frozen or blocked its flap that opens and closes for air to flow //----ur fridge side is cooled from the the freezer side the cold air is blown in from the freezer if fan or damper is not working correctly than fridge is usually warm and freezer is working properly

Need condenser fan for unit to cool properly

first try to clean the condenser coil, it is under the bottom of the unit,blow out or vac out the coil.
check to see if fan in freezer is running or if there is ice on the evaporator coil inside freezer.

have check the current rating,this can determine if your freezer is under charge,use a clamp ammeter hook it up on common line of compressor,set ampere on tester to 50 amper so you can read clearly,compare this on rated current on manuals or theres a description tag on backside of your freezer look for rated amperes .this should be done by aircon / ref technician if you can't do this,have check also the leak , have a nice day don't forget to rate me,thank's
