Removing and replacing a water filter - base grill location

Filters situated in the base grill (below the freezer compartment) of Whirlpool-built side-by-side refrigerators are relatively simple to replace. Follow these two steps:

1. Grasp the filter's end and make a one-quarter turn to the left.
2. Pull the filter straight out.

To replace with a new filter, repeat these two steps in the opposite order, making sure to first remove the red cap from the filter. Proceed by pushing the filter straight into the slot, and then giving it a one quarter turn to the right.
Note: Replacing this type of filter is quick - there is no need to unplug your refrigerator when replacing it. Also, this filter should be replaced every six months.

if you removed the inner section of the door for the drying process then it is possible that the door has warped and you have locked it in that shape on installation of the inner section loosen off the screws and twist the door so that it touches all the way around , then retension the screws make adjustments at the hinges after that

That is an interesting question. Hot is a subjective term; are you referring to the inside or outside of the unit. I am not sure but I believe the condenser is part of the outer shell hence it will get warm when operating. Check the thermostat setting in the freezer, it is possible it is off.
