When it is flickering, can you still read it? Mine didn't flicker. Maybe it just needs new batteries. I did find that mine had trouble working once I switched over to AT&T Uverse internet/phone service.

Hazard lights off but switch still flickering

A flickering light on most car dashes these days indicates that there may be an electrical fault. Fault meaning, may not be a problem but, may just be globe or connection issue. Get someone to check through with you that all the globes and lights are working, and if not sometimes rust or if you live near occean salt can corrode the metal connection between globe and connection or wires and connection (globe housing). If you check these by yourself *MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TURNED YOUR IGNITION SWITCH TO 'OFF' POSITION* And 'DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY'
you probably won't like to find yourself with a shocking surprise if you don't.

The picture would flicker after long usage so I wanted to know how to fix it woul it be the back light inverter or t-con chip

Its your AV board, this causes flicker if faulty.
The tcon seems to be ok and inverter if they were at fault it would be constant not intermittent.

Flame does not flicke in my electric fireplace

if flame not flickering and you can see the globes lighting flame its the fan that moves the ribbons is faulty unless it has fuse to it which may have blown, but how the flame works is by globes lighting through ribbons that are moved by a fan to give a flicker effect unless its rotating glass wheel like some, that turn with the globes behind that give you a flickering effect its always better with electrical to have an electrician look if it was the globes yes that is an easy replace but to change a fan or rotating glass wheels

Toshiba lcd tv flickers after being on 15 mins.

This is likely a power problem. Have the power brick checked by an electronics tech to see if it is cycling off and on over time. If the power supply is not the problem, you should consider returning it if you can.

Olympia, and/or Sharper Image infoglobe. Need fix.

It appears that you have already removed the 4 screws. The globe will not just fall off, it has to be pried. Take a small- bladed screwdriver or a small-bladed pocket knife and gently pry from any small opening you see between the globe and its base. Work the blade around the globe and it will come off. I just did it and now I'm trying to figure out how to get inside the "guts" of the globe. Will keep you advised.

Blank infoglobe

Noise? Louder than normal motor noise? The display is created by the revolving LED board that is connected to a motor. It should be quiet unless you pick it up and give a good listen. Let me assume that you mean that it is normal noise, indicating that the unit is turning. Unplug the power as well as the phone lines from the unit. First, remove the plastic globe. There are 4 points that the globe is connected, two towards the rear and two in front on either side of the control buttons. Press the globe at the front ones and lift towards the rear. After you have removed the globe, remove the three screws that hold the rotor (looks like an "L") to the motor shaft. The LED display is soldered to the rotor. These solder joints break and need to be re-soldered. By adding a small amount of heat as you are bending the display slightly inward, you can repair the connections. Only use low watt solder gun! Re-attach the rotor and globe (unit will not spin with globe off) re-connect the power, press the select button and check out the display. If all connections were made, you will have succeeded. If a line or two are missing, try again!
