it depends how much edge to edge you want, its a direct to card printer and will not print all the way to the edge 100%. you can get it close by adjusting the horizonal settings, but to get true edge to edge you need the HDP printers.
On this same page, make sure to download the Fargo Workbench Utility (towards the bottom, under "misc"). This application is needed in the updating process and is very useful when dealing with settings issues, like this.
We would recommend to try to update the firmware for this printer from the Fargo website - www.fargo.com. Update the print driver to the most current version from this site as well. Run a test card from the LCD panel if the printer starts after your updates. If successful, run a test card from the print driver on the computer.
If this does not work, there may be major issues. Contact Fargo Technical Support at 800-459-5636.
You might go to the print driver settings to change the way the printer prints the card. This can be found in the printing preferences. Go to the device options tab and choose "rotate front 180 degrees". Then print a card. This may fix the problem.
If not, try downloading the latest print driver from www.fargo.com.
it sounds like you have a bad main board again. you might be having some power issues. we are an ASC for Fargo, if you need parts send me an email. Although the 4250 has been discontinued a long time ago, parts are scarce.
Download the Windows 2000 driver. Go to "Settings" then to "Control Panel". Then go into "Printers and Faxes". On the left hand side click "Add a Printer". Check "Local Printer attached..." but make sure "autmatically detect..." is not checked. Then click next. Select the port that the printer is connected to. Then click next and it will ask for the software. Click "Have Disk" and browse to the folder where you saved the driver. It should then find the Fargo 4250 driver and your in business.
My printer is Fargo DTC550 and I'm using HID 1326 card for printing. I cannot get this equipment to function correctly. I had no
problems installing the software and hooking up the printer to make the ID
cards, but all attempts to print an ID card have failed. Every card I have
tried to make has been unsatisfactory, with colours not printing, very poor
image quality, and the lamination device consistently jamming for every
single card I have tried to make.
Sir, please help me.
