How to turn the fax sound down on canon super g3 fax machine on the receiver

The fax dialing and especially ring is SO LOUD! How do I turn it down? It looks like it is on the receiver, but there is no button, just two small slots with impressions above them like audio sounds. How do I turn it down?

SOURCE: the ring is very loud when a fax comes in, volume control where?

This needs clarification. Is it the Handset on the machine that is ringing? If so there is a small slider control on the handset that can be adjusted down with a paper clip. But if the fax itself is to loud you'llneed to go inot programming and selct the Monitor Volume and set it lower or off.

Canon fax-l1000 super g3 - is it possible to operate this as a printer ? if so, is it possible to get a wireless adapter?

"canon fax-l1000 super g3 - is it possible to operate this as a printer ?" (sic) I have researched and NO you cannot do that.
The best you could do would be to Fax images.documents from your PC to this machine, that would effectively work, you would need a modem in the PC though, otherwise it will work fine... BUT not as a printer, as such. But you would still have the ability to store and manipulate the documents IN the Fax when received, and may just work, well, but with limitations?
You would simply have to dial the fax from the PC and send it to it, then it would receive,,store and print out as you wished... should/could work just as well as a wifi printer?
