My iPod classic does exactly the same on my JBL radial. However, it only happens at very loud volume, almost as though the vibes from the speaker are affecting the iPod. Bit strange but turning it down stop the skipping. I wonder if having it at loud volume on surfaces that vibrate e.g wood, kitchen tops etc is the problem? I suppose the classic is a hard drive after all so won't be immune to vibes but my mate goes running with his! no problems! wonder if it's the frequency or something.

Not a solution but mine sometimes causes my ipod to skip mid-song to the next song or podcast as well. JBL customer service is usually good and I've been meaning to check with them since I finally figured out it's the radial and not my ipod.

I bought the JBL 200ID and I love the sound but I have had two of them now and it will pause itself and go to another song in the middle of one. This is the second one that has done this. Has anybody else...

I have the same unit and have the EXACT same problem - random pausing and resuming from an intended pause, and skipping songs at random. I only experience this after I have used the remote to PAUSE the music. And when I have the problem, only way to reset it back to reliable behavior is to pull the plug and leave power off it. It's a firmware problem, nothing to do with the connection. I've tried it with 4 different Apple devices ranging from 2nd GEN NANO up to various models of iPhone including the 5. They all do it, BUT only after I use the remote. The remote is IR based and I do not have it even close to pointing at the base as I thought maybe it was a stuck key on the remote. It's the base and it has a glitch in the firmware. Unfortunately it's not patch-able, we just have to live with it.

No picture on television when connecting s-video outlet from JBL radial and showing a film or pictures on a docked i-pod touch.

Hi, I have this problem and when I spoke to JBL techical support they told me that Apple have changed their software on the New Nano and the ipod touch and of course the iphone and regrettably the radial does not support S video for these products. I'm told it will work with first generation ipod classics. PS: i had to carefully cut off some of the plastic plug to make sure the connection goes all the way into the back of the radial

Jbl radial dock connector broken

I have the same problem, but I got round it instantly by plugging my ipod into the speaker via the headphone port on the ipod and into the audio port on the speaker. The speaker came with a spare lead as you can plug any music player into it this way. The sound quality seems exactly the same and I dont have to throw away the speakers, hooray! If you have lost the lead you need a 3.5 mm male to male headphone lead, just pence in any electrical shop or amazon!

JBL Radial Remote Doesn't Work

Unfortunately, this is a fairly common problem with many small consumer electronics. The way that the devices are manufactured, there is an IR receiver that is soldered onto the PCB inside the unit. Sometimes this circuitry fails. There aren't any options on the Radial that would turn the option the remote off. Your best bet is that if the unit is still within the return period of the store you purchased it at, to return if. If it is outside of the return policy, I would give JBL consumer line a call to get the unit serviced, or get a replacement. Good Luck!

Ipod randomly skips songs. will not play certain songs.

the songs that are skipped by the ipod are unrecognised(unplayable by ipod) formats......when adding the songs via itunes and syncing it the itunes software will ask you whether you want to convert the format to ipod format ....select yes and the problem will be solved .......

Compatability with 4th gen nano

I have had exactly the same problem having bought a JBL Radial Micro for my partner for Xmas for use with the Ipod Nano, i contacted JBL via their website and was advised to contact Harmen on 01707278100. I was advised that the new ipod nano (chromatic) would not charge on the JBL radial micro. They stated that this was due to Apple changing the charging pin in the new nano. I have since bought a JBL Stage III. I contacted Harmen before buying this and was advised that the Stage II would not work. Hope that this is of use.
