You need to identify brands and models in your queries. I encounter this code in GE dehumidifiers but codes do not transfer between brands. If you are not experiencing problems, it may not be indicating such.

Do you mean error code AS instead of A5? If so, error code AS commonly refers to a sensor issue. Because it is a smaller appliance, repairs are often more costly than the actual unit replacement. You may want to check and see if your dehumidifier is still under warranty and if so, reach out to the manufacturer to determine the exact warranty coverage.
