How do I resolve a repeating image (not ghosting) on printed side of page?

A few months back we had an ant invasion in our office. As a result, I have several images of an ant on every piece of paper I print. It's annoying. I've cleaned with compressed air, cleaned the rollers I can see and still have the image. HELP!!

HP 2600n Laserjet Ghosting. Prints multiple, faint repeats down the page. Changed all toner cartridges, still happening

Perform fuser cleaning procedure. If not helpful, replace the hot fuser roller. When worn out it collects toner and may lead to repetitive image.

Ghost images of the same printing repeated down the page

Run a half test. While printing a few pages, open the cover, pull out the toner and look down at the paper. If you see the ghost images replace the toner. If you don't see the ghost images, replace the fuser.

Ghost printing

Hello,

You have a worn image drum. The drum is the part of the printer that the print image is created on before it transfers the toner to the paper. This part is coated with a very thin layer of Teflon so the toner does not stick. When it gets worn the toner starts to stick and that produces the shadow or ghost image approximately 3 inches down the page because the diameter of the drum roller is 3 inches. You will need to get the part DR-350, Office Depot has them as well as many places on the internet.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

I am getting a ghost image of what I am printing repeating down the center of the page.

i would say ghost image is more likelly your imaging drum.

some printers have the imaging drum built into the cartridge some have it separate.

i would say try another cartridge

also don't trust remanufactured cartridges if you are concerned with print quality.

Xerox Phaser 6360N ghosting images on each page

Is it a ghost of the image or just a repeating defect? In the menu, there is a repeating defect information page that you can print out. Depending on the spacing of the defect, you can determine which component it is.

My HP printer 2420 leaves "ghost" prints on the pages.

This can be caused by one of two things.

1. faulty wiper blade on your toner so that the previous image in not being wiped off the drum.
2. worn fuser sleve.

To work out which it is you will need to do a half stop test: print off a normal document then when it is about half way through the printer ( unfortunatly you may have to repeat this to get the timing right) open the front cover. remove the toner cartridge. if you can see the ghosting on the page the it is the toner. if its not there then its a new fuser. to save on money and if your confident enouh you may be able to just chane the fuser sleve depending on the state of the fuser on a whole.

hope this helps

Ghost images

Is it from the most recently printed page, or is it the same image avery time regardless of what you print? It sounds like your drum or roller (I'm not sure about the exqact term in english) might be the issue. Have you somehow managed to "force" a printing without paper in the printer?
