SOURCE: Hot House
This is never an easy fix. Insulation is one factor but other things to look for is drafty windows and doors, wall outlet covers and seal the plumbing where it comes through the walls. I recently had the power co. come out and do an energy audit to find my houses weakest points of energy conservation. This is truly a great service. I have lowered my power bill by 23% and my house stays much cooler and my a/c comes on less in the heat of the day. Hope this helps. Good luck.

check and see if someone has not installed a filter on the return .. The it sounds as though your in the sun for the heat of the day. I also sounds as though it may be a bit low on gas . Remember that these unit are kinda a one size fits all arrangment. as they are travel trailers. But you should be able to keep it to a 45-55 degree supply air . If you can i would move it to a shady spot for the afternoons if possible. My unit take 2 ac to cool it on hot days and its insulated for cool climates . again 40-45 degree discharge should be what your looking at in the cool of the mornings.. Hope this helps a little.
