Replace bulb I lost the original light bulb for my wall oven and don't know what to use. The owners manual recommend 64405/12v 5W but I tried it. The pins are too narrow and it does not fit. The picture in the owners manual looks nothing like the actual bulb housing in the oven and the glass cover says use 120 v/25 Watt.

It appears above-listed Frigidaire model number FGB24S5A has a light inside the oven. Therefore the bulb may either be burnt out or the switch may not be working properly. First, I would recommend replacing the bulb with a new 40 watt appliance bulb (instructions can be found in the Owner's Guide). If the issue persists, then I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

Have you tried replacing the bulb, have you check to see if you have power at the light socket , do you know how to read a meter , and do you have one ? ge back to me and we will go from there , after you do some testing thanks Frank

I use 2 sided tape to get a grip on the bulb. If it is really stuck and you end up breaking it, don't worry as it will be easier to remove the rest of the bulb with a pair of needle nose pliers.

I will assume that the ZDQ695 bulb replacement procedure is the same as that for the ZDQ695A. The ZDQ695 uses a 25 W appliance light bulb (300 C). Unplug the appliance before starting. Open the oven and remove the racks for space to work. Insert a flat blade screwdriver between the side of the oven and the glass cover above the bulb. With your hand support the cover and pry it away from the wall of the oven until it releases. Push the top of the cover towards the oven wall and use your fingers to pry the bottom of the cover away from the housing. Then remove the cover. Unscrew the old bulb (counterclockwise) and then remove the bulb. Then screw in the new bulb. Replace the glass cover (position the flange so that it is pointing to the back of the oven) by pushing it into the hole to cover the bulb assembly. Replace the shelves and close the oven door before plugging the oven back in.

for model 9815xub, the oven light consists of a light bulb cover(clear plastic, sometimes called lens) the light bulb receptacle( pressure mounted against the back wall of the oven ) and the light bulb, standard appliance bulb that screws into the receptacle, the same as the lens, it also screws into the receptacle, twist counter clockwise to remove both the lens and the bulb. as a reference try the following site:
www.partselect.com/ and type your model number in the window, then click on the oven cavity breakdown to view thwe assembly.

Yes your owners manual will show how.Replace the bulb with a similar bulb{ heat resistive}

With a volt meter you must verify power to the door light switch and the light socket.
You can also unplug the oven and do this with a meter set for continuity.
