Zwd1400 will not spin, filter clear - Zanussi ZWD1470W Front Load Washer / Dryer

Sounds like a drainage problem. Empty last water out of machine via the little hose behind the filter door. Unscrew the filter and extract and ensure is clear. Poke your finger up the main drainage hose form the filter recess as coins can get stuck there sometimes. After clearing everything out try a dummy spin cycle and listen for the pump motor spinning when draining. If no noise then suspect the pump motor, check wiring terminals are connected and not come loose. Hopefully, just cleaning the filter and hose should work.

Water comes out of the drum through a soft corrugated hose, into the filter, out of the filter through another soft corrugated hose into the pump and out of it through the hose that is put to the drain. Have you checked all of these pipes? Sometimes something small can get past the filter and get stuck in the pump. If it is all clear, then perhaps the pump is faulty.

Check to see if the drain pump or drain pump filter are clogged. Sometimes objects that are put into the washing machine, for example combs, money, hair pins, etc. end up in the filter. Finally, if the drain line is clear and the pump seems to be clear and functioning properly, you may need to replace the drain pump assembly.
The most common problem with spinning on this model machine is the tub bearing. Normally it would be very noisy when it did spin.
Massive job to replace it.

The pump filter is blocked ,so it wont empty,remove filter cap and clear out lint, coins etc.

on my kenmore machine nd means the drain filter is clogged. open the cover, drain water completely, remove and clean the filter, replace filter, tighten and close cover. hope this works for you. if not , at least your drain filter will be cleaned and you can eliminate it as the problem.

you need to check/clear filter, its located within sump hose @ bottom of drum quite trickey clip to remove slide it to the side to assist then withdraw nylon filter and clear.

From what you describe yall have a suds problem.
And it also could be a clogged pump filter

Open the access door at the lower left on front of the machine. Use the hose there to drain the water out of the machine. Unscrew the big knob there and pull out the attached filter. Clean out filter and replace. If filter was clear, replace drain pump motor.

We have a Samsung WF8604NGW front loading dimond 6kg washing machine. We had the 5ud error message. It turned out the filter was clogged with fluff from a new set of bathroom mats my wife washed. To fix: Put the machine on to drain (if poss) - should be 1 minute on our machine however as the machine was so clogged it took around 15 to finish. Also use the draning tube located next to the filter (on our machine) to get rid of as much water as poss. Now remove filter and clear (warning some water will remain in the system) Before spinning any laundry run the rinse cycle (with an empty drum) a couple of times and clear the filter each time. If the filter is still clogged the laundry will spin heavy as the water will still be in the drum leaving you with no very dry laundry and a horrible noise during the spin. Regards Rik.

Check your lid switch, and the strike, which is the other half of the switch, and is attached to the lid (the switch is on the machine).
