Sounds like all you need is a new pump motor. Pretty common issue. Fairly inexpensive motor. About $30+ on amazon. Check out repairclinic.com or appliancepartspros.com for part numbers and repair videos. Good luck.

is it getting enough water in tub? try extra water button and see if then it works. if that makes it work, then water pressure sensor may be an issue

Check the condition of the tube as any small crack or hole will render the pressure switch useless. If in doubt replace the tube.

You have a tub "Balance" bearing that is Shot! Goner! Dead! And your Tub may be a goner too! Depending on the extent of damage, you said you saw SMOKE! I never seen smoke from a washer unless someone throws a Concrete Block Stone in one on You Tube! ON PURPOSE! You have to weigh the age of machine vs the price of a new/USED one. If your machine is over 7 years old. Get a new One! Not a LG for goodness sake. Get a Whirlpool or a Maytag. I just bought a used one (Whirlpool) for $150. Still works 2 years later right next to the Dead $1600 LG I bought 6 years ago! The man I bought it from is in Rosamond, Ca. right by Edwards AFB. He has a garage full of them and guarentees his machines. There are a lot of people that do this. New is Not always the best! Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped? Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. To determine if the lid switch has failed, watch the part testing video at the bottom of this page. Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

The TE error code is a Thermistor error. Replace the thermistor and you should be good to go.

I believe you may have put it in the second largest container (Usually marked by a bucket with a 1 in it), this is for Pre-wash. So you will have to select Pre-wash on the Facial panel. It will then take the bleach first and after washing with it, the machine will rinse and drain it away - and continue with the normal wash and whatever you may have also left in the detergent box.

Open the access door at the lower left on front of the machine. Use the hose there to drain the water out of the machine. Unscrew the big knob there and pull out the attached filter. Clean out filter and replace. If filter was clear, replace drain pump motor.

At this point, replace the pump motor.

That is what is probably wrong. It is better just to buy a new one Alan.
