How do you reset the gas pedal

If you are "resetting" the gas pedal because you replaced it..... you will need to return to the Honda dealer to have your computer "flashed" . The pedal MUST be replaced with a new unit, you cannot use "salvaged" parts for the gas pedal. It will not work.

Stripped bicycle pedal

Better replace the pedal and most probably the crank arm as well. Sometimes a new pedal can cut the threads true again on the crank arm but the crank arm may need replacement too, depending on the damage. Remember to fit the correct side pedal. The pedal threads differ between left and right and pedals are usually marked "L" or "R".

I replaced front and back brakes on my 1996 1500 Chev Suburban. Bled the brakes starting at the farthest line. The pedal is soft and travels too far. Does not seem to stop very good. What is the...

it sounds like there is still air in the brake system that has not been removed.you don`t say if you replaced the brake pads and shoes(in which case you shouldn`t need to bleed)or you replaced a brake line(s) or wheel cylinder or caliper.you will have to keep bleeding the brakes all 4 wheels(trucks don`t use bi-directional braking meaning right rear brakes with left front and so on).bleed both rear brakes then bleed both front brakes, was this problem there before you replaced the brakes(soft pedal noticed) and this is why you changed the brakes or the pedal was soft and the brakes needed changing.its possible that the master cylinder has an internal leak and may need replacing.

Clutch pedal travel is excessive. Sits about 2"

A clutch pedal takes MUCH more travel to function correctly, when compared to a brake system...

A clutch needs to be replaced (maybe) when it SLIPS, Chatters, Or fails to release...

Other than that, the clutch will need to be adjusted to allow for total release of the relese bearing when pedal is released, and full disengaugement when pedal is depressed....Have a mechanic look at the adjustement, as proper adjustment gives longer clutch life. This is a periodic adjustment item.

Car brack light on all the time#

hi, this is a common problem what you need to do is get on the floor by the foot pedals and look closely at the brake pedal then follow the brake pedal right to the top of the pedal then just before it goes through the bulk head into the engine you will see a switch atatched to the base of the brake pedal it will have 2 or 3 wires going to it now you may find the brake switch has come away from the pedal if so place it back where it should be no if the brake switch is still atatched then the chances are the switch has wore causing the gap between the switch and the pedal to be to big now you need to either replace the switch or build up the part on the brake pedal that presses the switch with something like sellotape to make the gap smaller so the switch is pressed when you press the brake pedal now this wont be a permanent fix but will get your brake lights working again.

The switch itself is not expensive so your best option would be to replace the brake light switch.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
