Try remove the battery and power cord. Then press the power button and hold it down for 10-15 seconds. put everything back in and push power button once. See if this helps it come back on. If not, you may have a bad monitor, backlight, or video output from the motherboard. Hooking the laptop up to an external monitor will help isolate that problem as to what exactly is causing the problem. I hope this helps! :-)

Windows is corrupted you will have to use your Dell Restore Cd to reinstall Windows. The drivers if you have the driver cd will have to be reinstalled as well.

Its dell latitutde 6400 workrd last nite but cant get the screen

Debby, here is what you do; remove the battery. Next unplug the charger from the laptop. (Please make sure it is turned OFF FIRST)

Next, hold down the POWER BUTTON ON THE DELL LAPTOP for at least 30 seconds NON-STOP!!! After 30 seconds, let go of the button. Now, insert the charger ONLY and NOT the battery. If the Dell Logo comes on, problem SOLVED!!!! If not, repeat again.

How do I adjust brightness on my Dell Latitude D6...

Look for a key labeled "Fn" (blue lettering) on the lower left side of the keyboard

Hold the "Fn" key and then use the Up/Down arrows to adjust brightness.

If that doesn't work, reboot your laptop and get into the BIOS. There is a screen for brightness. I don't recall how it is labeled, but it's one of the last pages as you cycle through the BIOS options.

Dell Inspiro 6400 not starting up

If the Num lock is lit constant, and the Caps Lock and Scroll Lock keys are flashing, the system is reporting a memory error. Power off the system, remove the battery, and follow the user manual from support.dell.com to reseat the memory module(s). If the error persists, you may need to replace the memory and/or the system board of the portable.
