SOURCE: Camera says Memory CARD FULL--but it's empty

Olympus cameras are a bit picky! If you have not already tried then format the card on the camera. This is more reliable than formatting the card on a PC.

Downloading the pictures from your camera does not erase them from the card. It only copies them to your PC

Hope this helps

Memory card error

Hi,

This seems to be a known issue with the Canon camera's to display Memory card error.

Give this a try
1. Remove the card from camera and wait for sometime ( 1-2 minute ) and re-inserting the card.
2. If this does not work, you need a card reader to read/view images on your PC ( since you are not able to access the card in your camera )
3. If you are not able to access/view the images from Card, click on the link below to recover the images from card - Recover images
When you open the webpage, click on the Download Now option to download the software ( it is free )
4. Try this fix to resolve the issue, Sometimes it takes long time for the camera to load the images and it results in memory card error - Click on the link to download the fix - Firmware Update
5. Try using a SD card with less memory like 1 GB card or max 2 GB for better access of card in camera.

Hope this is helpful.

No power, not reading memory card

1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 4: Please also try to upload new firmware: I doubt that it will solve the issue, but the alternative is a repair. Connect the camera with the computer. Turn the camera on. Click onto the link and follow the instructions. http://www.kodak.com/global/mul/service/downloads/DownloadLookup.jhtml?pq-path=10732/10810&product=EKN032918
