Sony pd150 when recording touching the camera or tripod the sound from that is like scratching the mic any sugestions

What a smashing camera, you luck S - D I would love a camera like that, take good care of it okay? anyway the green problem is that the last person to use it has left a Built-In filter turned on in EA menu, once it is switched off you will be okay, have great fun I know you will with that.

I have fixed several PD150 and PD170 with the same problem. All of them had bad CCD.

clean the head with the head-cleaning cassettes

flex wire connecting LCD with camcorder might be a problem it's very common.I did in mine .

Could be the volume level, which is found on the bottom-left of the flip-out LCD screen.

Could be a mic on your camera. Is there anyway to change the mic setting in the control panel of the camera? If not you could have a bad mic or that could be how the mic was designed by Sony.

It'sprobably a bad CCD board. They seem to poop out alot on the Sonys lately.

mabe the mic has broke on your camera.i sugest you get the mic fixed.good luck

bad mic assy was the unit dropped ? possible bad ribbon cable or unit stored with battery still attached to unit.
